Sunny and Windy....


Yes, yes, yes.......

Having had a couple of skunkings of late and missing out on some sailing it was a HUGE relief to get to the beach today and find just what I needed, windy side shore and waves.

Was looking pretty windy with people on 4.5's so rigged my 5.0 and took my FSW to avoid any wallowing as it still looked lighter on the inside.  On my first run out it was pretty apparent I was stacked so it was a quick pit stop for a little more downhaul, much better, managed to get up wind and try and catch a few of the waves that were coming in, although I was having problems stopping the big board bouncing around on the wave.  As the tide started up the shingle the wind and the waves jacked up another notch and by the time I packed up it was even windier.

Great fun.
